BIDZ Says FTC Probe Examines Email Marketing Practices

 
Bidz.com (BIDZ) today disclosed that it has received a”civil investigative demand” from the Federal Trade Commission seeking information about the company’s email marketing practices. The company also continues to be the subject of an SEC investigation which its says relates to inventory reserve policies, among other issues. Meanwhile, BIDZ said it will “defend aggressively” a purported class-action shareholder lawsuit which focuses on the issues raising in November 2007 in a report by Citron Research which has been covered on this blog in excruciating detail. BIDZ today fell 15 cents, or 3.6%, to $3.98. (link)
